Breast Augmentation Leads in ISAPS 2015 Statistics

Breast AugmentationCosmetic procedures have become so mainstream that people wonder just how many people are having something done. That’s why the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) totals up the number of both surgical and non-surgical procedures every year and reports the numbers.

In 2015, to give you an idea of the scope of the numbers, you could take the entire population of Romania and give each person some sort of aesthetic procedure. Some would have a dermal filler session, others a tummy tuck, others laser skin resurfacing. All in all you’d have over 21 million procedures, one for every person in the nation.

That’s how many surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures were performed worldwide in 2015, according to statistics recently released by the ISAPS.

And once again, as it has been every year since it was introduced in 2002, botulinum toxin (overwhelmingly Botox) injections were the most popular procedure of all.

Here are some of statistics.
