Lift that Brow. It’s Not Heavy!

Browlift Gravity might have been Newton’s thing, but your skin isn’t a fan, especially on your forehead. As our skin sags and loses much of its underlying tautness, we develop deep furrows in our brow. The 11s can show up between your eyebrows. And overall our brow can simply droop. This can make people think you’re either tired or mad all the time.

But why not leave the misinformation to the political arena and instead show the world your true feelings with a brow lift from Dr. Malamet?

Since brow lifts target the upper third of the face, the procedure can be combined with other surgeries such as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) or a facelift to expand their scope.

Do you need a brow lift?

Most of Dr. Malamet’s brow lift patients are between the ages of 40 and 60 and feature lined or inelastic skin on their foreheads. There is a genetic tendency toward some of this sagging, plus it’s a fact of natural aging.

The goal is to soften facial lines by raising the skin on the brow, adjusting the underlying muscular structure and removing excess tissue. This process can raise the eyebrows and provide a softer overall appearance to the face.

The way to a younger-looking forehead

If possible, Dr. Malamet prefers to use the endoscopic brow lift method. In an endoscopic brow lift, Dr. Malamet first makes from three to five short incisions, each less than one inch, behind the hairline. He then inserts an endoscope into one of the incisions. With the endoscope, he can see beneath the skin without making the long incision of the traditional brow lift, which requires an incision around the entire forehead. Through the other incisions, he then lifts the skin, removes excess tissue, and adjusts muscles as needed.

Some patients, however, need more dramatic adjustments to achieve their desired goals. For these patients, Dr. Malamet may use a coronal or hairline brow lift. These options will be discussed during your consultation.

If you find yourself being asked what you’re mad about even though nothing’s bothering you, it may be time to look in the mirror and consider a brow lift with Dr. Malamet. Call 818-380-3130 for a consultation.
